The Biweekly Learning Literature with Purba Podcast



The Learning Literature with Purba podcast is a biweekly podcast with new episodes uploaded every Monday and Thursday. The podcast was launched in August 2020.


Each episode of Learning Literature with Purba is bite-sized, packed with fun facts and information on great literary works, literary devices, literary movements, and literary ages. Purba Chakraborty is your English Literature coach who guides you through the episodes in a fun and cheerful way. You can listen to the podcast on Spotify, Google Podcast, Apple Podcast, Overcast, and other platforms.


The first series with which we kickstarted the Learning Literature with Purba podcast is Figures of Speech. There are total of 12 episodes in this series where you get to learn about a wide range of literary devices.



After we completed this series, we began a 4-part series on John Milton's epic poem "Paradise Lost" where we discuss all the 12 parts of the poem in a crisp manner.



After Paradise Lost, we started our series on Various types of Fiction. In this series of the Learning Literature with Purba podcast, you can learn about bildungsroman novel, campus novel, dystopian fiction, metafiction, gothic novel, historical novel, magic realism, and many other types of fiction.


The ongoing series of the Learning Literature with Purba podcast is Literary Movements. This is the series with which we began the new year 2021. We start right with the movements before the Elizabethan Age and will continue till the movements of the Post Modern Age. We have already uploaded 5 episodes of Literary Movements.
